Coiled Basket Tray Tutorial: Easy Colorful Oval Rope Tray!

Today, we're making a colorful coiled basket tray using cotton rope and yarn.

This little oval tray is a super fun basketry project with short sides, so it works perfectly as a catchall for craft supplies, keys, jewelry, or whatever little bits and bobs are currently taking over your table.

We’ll go step by step through starting the coil, coiling and stitching the shape, and building up the sides to turn it into a cute oblong basket tray.

If you’ve been wanting to try coiled basket weaving, this is a really fun beginner-friendly project to start with, and this colorful yarn makes it extra happy. 🌈

Finished Size: This coiled tray measures about 10" x 7.5" and is around 2" tall. Yours may vary, but it should be in that ballpark.

SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED:
