"Born To Be" Film Talkback

Join us on Thursday, November 19, at 8:00 P.M. EST as we recognize Transgender Awareness Week with a film talkback of the award-winning documentary “Born to Be.” The documentary follows the work of Dr. Jess Ting at the groundbreaking Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery in New York City, the first American medical center to provide quality gender affirming health and surgical care. A film by Tania Cypriano, this documentary takes an intimate look at how one doctor's work impacts the lives of his trans and non-binary patients. People are invited to film the documentary prior to the talkback with the film’s director, Dr. Jess Ting, as well as Mahogany and Jordan, two of the patients featured in “Born to Be.” The discussion will be moderated by IndieWire’s Jude Dry.
