Interfaith Relationships: The Path to Truth | Ghazala Hayat | TEDxSaintLouisUniversity
For her TEDx talk, Dr. Hayat will be discussing religious tolerance, including primary education about another religion, and using this respect and understanding to reveal truths about ourselves and his or her religious beliefs. She also believes that in tolerance comes the discovery of commonalities between races, ages, religions and backgrounds. She emphasizes that although she will talk about religious tolerance specifically, her message applies to all people, religious or not, and is a universal theme.
Dr. Hayat is a professor of Neurology & Psychiatry at St. Louis University. She is also a board member of Interfaith Partnership/Faith Beyond Walls and Chair-person of Public relations committee of Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis. Additionally, Dr. Hayat has served on board of YWCA and has received the distinguished St. Louis Women of Achievement award.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
