14er Friday: La Plata

Hi there. Welcome back to my channel. I have got to be honest, these Friday videos have been, so far, my favorite thing to edit. I don't know if it's just because I get this opportunity to relive this awesome adventure that I had this week, or what, but I'm super excited to share with you this week my friend and I decided to go hike a 14-er. We did La Plata, which is the fifth highest 14-er in Colorado. And personally, I'm not someone who goes out and tries to back a bunch of 14-ers. I've only ... This is my second one that I've ever done in my life.

I had recorded an intro video, or I thought I had recorded an intro video before I headed out, and I wish that it would have recorded. I don't know. I'm still new with this camera, so maybe I just clicked something wrong, but I was super nervous! I was so nervous for this hike because the last 14-er I did was like four years ago, or three years ago, whatever it was, and it was so hard! I remember being at the end my knee is killing me and my hips killing me and just being in this all out trudge mode, and so that was what I expected when I was going into this 14-er this time around. So, before I reveal to you how it all went, I'll just let the video speak for itself.

So I'm recruiting Sam to go to the store with me. It's like 8:15 PM and I think they're only open until 9:00, and I'm meeting my friend at 5:30 in the morning. So honestly, I should get what I need and probably just go straight to bed.

So this is my first go at filming in public, so we'll see how embarrassed I get. Okay, so I am going to get dinner for right now, so that I have some fuel in the morning, and then a couple of bars or something like that. We'll see. Okay, I've literally been standing here for a while because I always eat the same bars. So I'm gonna choose something, but if you guys have any favorite bars that you like, throw it in the comment section below, because I'd love to know what your favorites are, what some other options are when I run out, like this.
