Building a Stand for a Railroad Track Anvil
When you need to make a thing so you can make the things you want to make.
This is a rough draft of a light duty anvil stand that I am going to use for making snipe hinges, clinching nails, and the like. Course woodworking at its finest. No measuring, eyeballed everything, and used whatever was sitting around.
It should get a nice workout during my upcoming projects and then I can figure out what was working and what did not.
The stand is made from two 4x4s and assortment of left-over hardware. Retractable workbench casters. The anvil is a section of discarded railway track. The leather is from a cow. I assume the cow was delicious.
Always wear eye protection.
