The first time this legendary text is fully published in English in over 300 years, the Cyranides is one of the most detailed and extensive magical-medicinal texts ever written.

The Cyranides, or Kiranides, directly describes hundreds of different ancient Magical-Medicinal recipes and operations throughout its 4 chapters, shedding light on many myths and “Virtues” of Animals, Herbs and Stones, that are otherwise scattered throughout other texts, or forgotten. A huge library of hundreds of magical-medical operations, talisman operations, old skincare operations, descriptions of occult Virtues and Myths of Animals and Plants, and much more.

Examples:

“A Carmorant, is a Sea-bird, […] if she meets a ship under sail, as she flies dives in the Sea, she signifies a storm to the ship. But if she fly before, or sit upon a Rock, she portends a good Voyage.”

“If any one, when he goes to sleep, lay the Mouth or Bill of an Eagle at his head, he will See in his Sleep whatever he pleases.”

“ If any man engraves a Woodpecker in the Stone Dendrites, and a Sea-Dragon under its feet, and enclose the Herb underneath it, which the Woodpecker found and carried, every Gate will open to him, and Bolts and Locks.”

“A Feather of the right wing [of an Eagle] held by one, makes the Bearer rich and amiable.”

“The Hair [of a Bear] fumigated, or carried about one, drives away evil Spirits, and any Fever.”

Since its original Greek compilation in the 4th century, it has gone through many changes. This Edition was based on an obscure English translation from 1685, and has been transcribed, edited and made fully readable to the modern reader. It enables easy historical study and reading of one of the transmissions of this Text, along with all its chapters. #books
