Walking Broadway in New York! Times Square, Flatiron, Washington Square, NYU, Macy's, Wall Street

In this video, we’re walking along the most iconic street in New York: Broadway.

This isn’t the “Broadway” of musicals, this is Broadway the street: a winding, chaotic, electric artery that cuts through the heart of the city. And today, we’re walking it. From the glowing buzz of Times Square, past the retail madness of Herald Square, through the architectural wonder of the Flatiron District, and down into the student-saturated pulse of NYU and Washington Square Park.

🎒 What’s in this journey:
– New York landmarks and little-known facts
– Pit stops at famous buildings and photo spots
– Café recommendations, historical trivia, and street-level stories
– A route you can actually walk, step by step

Starting in the bright, chaotic energy of Times Square, we head south on foot—past landmarks, bagel shops, and iconic buildings you’ve seen in a hundred films. We’re talking neon signs, yellow cabs, street performers, and a whole lot of character. This route is packed with history, stories, and the kind of random magic that only New York can deliver.

Along the way, we’ll make sure to fuel up with some classic NYC bites. Near Times Square, you’ll find Ess-a-Bagel, famous for its massive, fluffy bagels that are the perfect way to start the day. Later, as we reach the Flatiron District, there’s a Shake Shack right by Madison Square Park—an ideal spot for a quick, satisfying burger or shake to recharge.

As we move south, the energy shifts. The crowds thin out a bit, and suddenly you’re in NYU territory, where the sidewalks are a mix of students, coffee cups, and backpack straps. For a classic New York slice, stop by Joe’s Pizza nearby—one of the city’s favorite pizza spots that serves up thin, crispy slices that have fueled generations of New Yorkers.

At the end of this stretch? Washington Square Park—with its mini Arc de Triomphe, chess tables, buskers, and yes, some very weird pigeons.

This walk is designed to feel like you’re really there—exploring Manhattan’s layers one block at a time. You’ll learn quick facts about the buildings, catch cultural quirks at street level, and get a feel for how much the vibe changes from Midtown to Downtown—all in under an hour.

👉 If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to truly walk New York instead of just see it from a bus or a movie, this one’s for you.

Highlights include:
• Times Square’s chaotic brilliance
• Macy’s Herald Square and its historic roots
• The Flatiron Building’s bizarre aerodynamic history
• College-town vibes at NYU and Greenwich Village

• Food stops: Ess-a-Bagel, Shake Shack, and Joe’s Pizza—classic New York eats that add flavor to the walk
