Beet Kvass/ Kanji | Lacto Fermented Beets | Diwali Special | Best Winter Antioxidant Drink
Namaste friends, Beet Kanji/ Kvass is an excellent traditional non-alcoholic probiotic drink packed with antioxidants, rich in iron, potassium, folate, collagen boosted and high in fiber. It is highly nutritional and has tons of health benefits in treating conditions like anemia, heart diseases, hematological disorders (blood related) and even preventing cancer. Beetroot is well known as the ‘blood cleanser’ as it cleanses the blood stream by removing all the toxins from the body.

INGREDIENTS
■ 6 Beets (approximately)
■ 50 grams of sea salt or Himalayan Salt (the rule of salt in vegetable ferments is 2% quantity of salt in a brine/ jar)
■ 1. 8 litres of water (it depends upon the size of the jar which you're using)
EQUIPMENTS
■ A knife
■ Gloves to avoid stains (optional)
■ A measuring cup
■ I have used a clean 2.5 litres jar with canning lid or plastic lid
■ A Butter Paper or a Muslin Cloth
■ Strainer
