Jackie and the noisy neighbor - again. 3-8-21

The San Bernardino Flying Squirrel(s) frequently check out the nest even when the owners spend the night. Late last year there was a upgrade in the cam and mic positions. The cam was relocated higher up and attached to a sturdy 2 x 4; the mic was moved from within the nest walls where Jackie and Shadow had buried it. So now the mic picks up more details and when the squirrel gnaws and shift small sticks it sound like logs are being shifted. So we captured these loud sounds a few days ago in the original recording. Jackie wakes, listens, and eventually strikes out at where she thing the noise is coming from. (Remember, we are recording with IR light and cam lens so it's very dark). After she strikes, if you listen carefully with your sound at a high volume, you can just make out the complaints from the squirrel as it retreats - for now.) As to the "growl" recorded a few nights ago, it probably came from ground level and was something louder and larger than the SBFS.
