Why Eminem's Record Label Flopped
Founded in 1999 by Eminem and his enterprising manager Paul Rosenberg at the height of his rise to fame, Shady Records was launched as a means of giving Eminem an organisational foothold in the industry. Technically speaking, it’s stood strong over the years, remaining under the Interscope umbrella and acting as the homestead for numerous acts at one time. However, where the problem lies is in transforming those other artists into anything other than second-stringers.
