The march came after #keirstarmer announced plans for a mandatory Digital ID system by 2029, required to work legally in the UK. Officials call it “modernisation.” Protesters call it surveillance and control.

News outlets reported thousands filling London’s streets, while public support for the scheme has collapsed — with privacy advocates warning it threatens personal freedom and autonomy.
