Octopus AIM Inheritance Tax Service – 2017 interview with Dominic Weller of Octopus Investments
** Newer interview with Richard Power here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMYlYyzim-E
_______
Octopus Investments is a giant of both IHT mitigation and AIM investing – its Inheritance Tax service has over £1 billion under management and its AIM VCTs are perennially popular. Here is an offering at the intersection of both: the Octopus AIM Inheritance Tax portfolio, launched in 2005, which since 2013 can also be held in an ISA for maximum tax-efficiency. Dominic Weller, from Octopus’s nine-strong Smaller Companies team, explains the approach to selecting AIM stocks and managing the portfolio. How does Octopus’s approach differ from competitors? What are some typical companies they are investing in? And what might happen to AIM shares in a downturn? Alex Davies, founder of Wealth Club, interviews Dominic to find out.

Important note:
Tax benefits depend on circumstances and tax rules can change. The opinions expressed in this video are the interviewee’s own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Wealth Club Ltd. This interview, like our service, is not advice and the products featured are not suitable for everyone. The investments we offer are higher risk and less liquid than mainstream investments. If you’re unsure an investment is right for you, please seek professional advice.
