Vintage Model Airplane - 1931 Rubber-Powered 12" Heath Parasol - Start to Finish

Start to finish slide show and a short flight video of the 12" Heath Parasol from the 1931 plan by the National Model Aircraft & Supply Co. Built by Tom Hallman for the AMA Museum as part of their permanent display on the history of the small & peanut rubber-powered model aircraft. The Heath was determined to be the earliest known mass produced kit for a smaller than 13" wingspan rubber-powered model airplane. The flight was very short because we didn't want to risk damage, prior to donating it to the museum.

The propellor and prop shaft comes from my father's best friend's 1933 Megow model of the same 12" span. Full circle! http://www.hallmanstudio.com/1933.vintage.jpg
