Interview: Paramore - Soundwave 2013

While in town for Soundwave 2013, the ultimately rad Paramore caught up with the Music Feeds team to chat about becoming last-minute headliners, barbecuing with Metallica and, of course, their super anticipated upcoming self-titled album.

Soundwave Sydney turned out to be a particularly stressful day for the 3-piece who discovered on the day that all of their gear was onboard a truck that had been delayed by 10 hours but, as they explain, due to their own determination and the resourcefulness of their crew, the show was saved, albeit moved to a new time slot.

Prior to the festival, Paramore were invited to a barbecue hosted by Metallica and, as they relayed to us, became reluctant participants in the much-talked-about ping-pong tournament.

With a brand-new album on the way, it's fire on all cylinders for the band, who are fresh from a 2-year break in touring. The self-titled release is sure to expose a side of Paramore we've yet to see, as evident from the first single Now.

We wrapped up the interview on a casual note as Hayley let her guard down about her brand-new tattoo.
