Why Should One Perform Weight Training ?

There are several forms of exercises like walking, jogging, running, body weight exercises, dance form of exercise (ex.zumba), playing a sport like badminton, swimming, cricket etc; but none of these forms of exercises can provide the benefits of weight training. In this video we will get a clear idea of the difference between these forms of exercises and weight training. These forms of exercises are predominantly cardio training and it is important to include cardio training in one's workout program along with weight training. Both cardio training and weight training are important for the body for optimal fitness results. Weight training will improve one's functionality in daily life activities and this type of training is termed as functional training. Isolating a muscle or a group of muscles and training it to its maximal capacity is important because it will improve one's musculo skeletal strength. Cardio vascular endurance and muscular endurance are got through cardio training and optimal skeletal muscle strength will be got through only weight training.
