Features:
POLAR 115 is the right-sized high-speed cutter for sizes around 65 x 92 cm (25 9/16 x 36 1/4 in) suitable for all industries, since it cuts the most versatile materials (paper, card board, card stock and foil) up to a cutting width of 115 cm ( 45 1/4 in).


Cutting:
A POLAR is especially convenient. The control panel features an integrated display which is positioned at a convenient height for the operator. The low-profile keyboard is extremely robust and durable. The radiation-free 15" display gives you easy-to-read information in the window technology. You can choose between centimeter and millimeter indication and inches or the shaku system. When you work with inches, you can even input fractions. The POLAR cutter will automatically convert them into decimal values. The direct selection of program functions, operator assistance and pre-adjustable machine parameters are advantages exclusively offered by POLAR.

Control System:
A Trend-setting Control System. Program controlled increase in productivity. All of the POLAR variants have a uniform control setup. They offer particular advantages, such as a user-friendly operation, easy and practical programming (window technology), step-by-step program cycle, (pictographs, clear arrangement) and a high storage capacity. The radiation-free, high-resolution, flicker-free 15" TFT color display has a full graphic control and offers graphic operator guidance. The block programming offers user guidance and graphic display of the cutting sequences. The preset sizes (DIN series, offset sizes, company standards, etc.) are directly retrievable. Once the initial sheet sizes and final sizes have been input the program is automatically generated with both additional functions and plain-text functions. Other advantages of the XT model: Touch screen, full function keyboard, process visualization, backgauge compensation, cut sizes can be corrected in case of distortion, additional options.

Precision Measuring:
The Direct Precision Measuring System Ensures a Higher Precision. POLAR's direct precision measuring system and exclusive backgauge technology ensure precise cuts. The POLAR high-speed cutters are characterized by an extraordinary cutting precision owing to the direct precision measuring system and the sturdy construction of the machine. In this positioning system, a pulse generator especially developed for POLAR is located directly (without intermediate links!) on the feed screw. This eliminates any measurement deviations from the outset that might be caused by the transfer elements.

The backgauge is driven by a frequency-controlled three-phase motor. This permits the backgauge to reach the corresponding positions both quickly and smoothly, because the advance speed is always automatically adjusted to the distance to be covered. Owing to precision ball-bearing spindles, linear backgauge guidings free from play and automatically controlled machine functions, POLAR products grant utmost precision - and a long service life.

Safety:
High Safety Standards for Both Man and Machine
Safety is POLAR's highest priority! An important safety feature on the POLAR is the self-monitoring light curtain with guards against manual access by the operator. All of the POLAR high-speed cutters meet the CE safety standard (safety package for European states and EC conforming countries). The safety package includes also: a two-channel hydraulic system with knife upstroke control, a rear table guard (partly optional), and a finger protection at the pressure clamp. Operators working with the POLAR are additionally protected during the cutting process by the two-hand cut release with concurrence control and non-repeat function. The POLAR high-speed cutters are also certified to GS standards.
