Everybody talks about FOC (Field Oriented Control) like it’s the ultimate solution for RC crawling performance… but does it actually matter as much as people think?

In this short, I share why I believe a really good velocity loop and smooth tuning can matter just as much — or even more — than whether a system is technically “true FOC.”

At the end of the day, most drivers care about:
⚡ Smooth throttle
⚡ Predictable control
⚡ Strong drag brake
⚡ Good low-speed crawling

And honestly? You can achieve that without full FOC if the ESC and firmware are tuned properly.
