Bessyboot & Rosthwaite Fell - When Wainwright Got Himself Lost!

This time on WhenTheMountainsCall we were taking on what has to be one of the most confusing Wainwrights. Also known as a place where Wainwright got himself a bit confused as to where exactly he was.

So for this lovely sunny day in the Lake District we were climbing Bessyboot and Rosthwaite Fell. After parking in the cute little hamlet of Stonewaite it was a steep pull up the scenic Big Stanger Gill. Then out on to the tops to be greeted by some stunning views as we made our way to twin summits of our latest Wainwright.

This was a grand day out showcasing some of the best scenery the Lake District has to offer and as an added bonus we pretty much had the fells to ourselves. We only met one person, a man out on his own on top of Bessyboot. We had the impressive summit of Rosthwaite Fell all to ourselves.
