Eyelid ptosis: physical examination
Dr. Colin McInnes (Plastic Surgery) and Dr. Lee-Wing (Ophthalmology), University of Manitoba, talk us through an examination for eyelid ptosis. Although most cases of eyelid ptosis are the result of soft tissues losing their elastic properties with age, those affected can experience substantial functional impairment. Surgical treatment is highly effective and may be covered by public health insurance in Canada.
