AI recreates voices of school shootings victims in plea to politicians

Anti-gun campaigners are trying new ways to reach politicians with a phone call campaign called The Shotline.

AI technology recreates the voices of six people who lost their lives to firearms in order to make direct pleas to politicians.

They include Joaquin Oliver, who was murdered in the hallway outside his classroom at Parkland aged 17.

We spoke to Joaquin's mother Patricia, and asked her how it felt to hear her son's voice recreated by AI.
