Meet artist and environmentalist Kokoi Baldo! I was introduced to him by some mutual Highly Sensitive Friends. Kokoi is Highly Sensitive and proud of it, when you listen to him speak you know he waves the sensory processing sensitivity flag HIGH! The acronym is D.O.E.S. which means he is a deep thinker, overwhelmed easily, empathic, and sensitive to subtleties. He writes music about his dark past which includes not having parents, living in the gutters of a slum area, and facing harsh adversity daily. Sounds like a typical artist correct? Not in this case, with the GIFT of his highly sensitive trait he has been able to look deeply at the essence of despair and write lyrics and chords that deliver HOPE, LOVE, and DIRECTION. He has managed to take the worse of life's ugly side and shine a light on life's bright gifts. Barefoot, tattooed, and full of love this HU_man is the new bright light of Reggae from the Philippines.
