TRIP REPORT | WIZZ Air | Inaugural Flight | Budapest to Berlin Schönefeld | Airbus A320

TRIP REPORT of Wizz Air's Inaugural Flight from Budapest to Berlin Schönefeld Airport on 18th December 2017! Budapest Airport has a really nice main terminal - but the budget airline terminal is horrible (that is where my flight departed from). Because of the late arrival of the aircraft boarding was delayed by 25 minutes... After boarding the Airbus A320 ((HA-LWH - new Wizz Air livery) (which was 6.8 years old on date of flying)) we finally took off from Budapest Airport (BUD) bound for Berlin Schönefeld Airport (SXF) with a delay of 45 minutes. The flight time to Berlin is just around 1 hour 15 minutes. The onboard service has "fair" prices (in comparison to Ryanair and Easyjet they are cheap). I included the whole menu card so you can check out products offered (sandwiches, drinks and snacks) and their prices. On this flight i bought the meal deal which costs 6,50€. During the flight we passed some nice mountain areas covered with snow - looks great from above! My seats were 7F and 2F for the engine/wing view. As the flight was coming to an end i decided to buy a model aircraft of a Wizz Air A321 for 10€ which is a good price (1:200 plastic model). After landing in Berlin SXF i waited unil all the other passengers where off the plane so i could get a nice empty cabin shot! All in all the flight with Wizz Air was ok - just a few little things i didn't like: the delay, the broken tray table, the budget terminal at Budapest, the "pre-boarding" letting you wait 10 minutes out in the cold... Also Wizz Air did not care about this being their first flight on that route - even the flight attendants were surprised when i told them ^^
