I Made My First Ceramic Stand for Fused Glass | Microwave Kiln Project

Can a beginner make a ceramic stand? In this microwave kiln project, I try making my very first ceramic stand for a small, fused glass dish I made on my glass fusing channel.

This project takes me right out of my comfort zone as I work with clay, roll out a slab, cut and shape a low four-point stand, repair cracks, texture the surface, sand the base flat, bisque fire it, glaze it, and then fire the glaze in the microwave kiln. It does not all go perfectly, but that is part of the process.

The fused glass dish shown in this video was made on my other channel, and I will include a link to that video in the description.

This is a beginner ceramic project, and it is also an experiment in making display stands for fused glass work. If you are interested in microwave kiln ceramics, small clay projects, pottery experiments, or combining ceramics with fused glass, this video shows the full process from idea to finished stand.
