The Intersection of Frailty, Falls and Polypharmacy in WTC General Responders
This past installment of the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine grand rounds, on Friday 21-March-2025, focused on the intersection of frailty, falls and polypharmacy as described by Sharon See, PharmD and Fred Ko, MD.
Dr. See, PharmD, is the Associate Dean for Professional Development and Clinical Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. See is board-certified in pharmacotherapy and geriatrics, a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and has an extensive background in evidence-based medicine, cardiology, psychiatric pharmacotherapy, and curriculum development.
Dr. Ko, MD, is an Associate Professor in Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Associate Director of Clinical Innovation at the Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. He co-leads a study investigating frailty trajectories and interventions in World Trade Center general responders.
