Israel and Hamas agree to extend truce

Israel and Hamas have reportedly agreed to extend their truce to help mediators continue the process of releasing hostages.

According to Reuters, the terrorist group had agreed to extend the truce for a seventh day.

Israel's military said earlier the truce will continue “in light of mediators’ efforts to the continue the process of releasing hostages, and subject to terms of the agreement.”

The truce was extended by two days on November 17 as 11 more hostages were freed.

Sky News US contributor Michael Ware provided his insights on the extended truce and whether it could lead to the release of more hostages.

“I think like a lot of people around the world, I am breathing a huge sigh of relief,” he told Sky News Australia.
