This is the previously-unreleased, original 12" mix, vetoed for release at the time by Pete Waterman. Along with the most immediate difference – the live bass – this mix has more of a 'performance' feel, with fewer synths, less bass drum and a different structure to the released 12" mix. The final minute is an extended instrumental sax and bass solo section, over repeated chords from the verse (no more choruses or vocals and no drums only dance-mix style ending). James Hamilton described the released version as: "Breezily rattling 118-117½bpm lightweight canterer self-penned and co-produced by Rick with Phil Harding & Ian Curnow, to show he can do it without Stock Aitken Waterman's immediate help". Created in August 1988, along with an unreleased 7" mix and 'Saxy 12" Dub' – both have (to date) also remained unused for Rick Astley re-issues and compilations.
