Jolly Roger Sefton Park Liverpool

The Jolly Roger replica that was placed in the 'Jordan Watercourse' of Sefton Park near to “The Grotto”, known locally as Old Nick’s Cave ,Liverpool in 1972 to celebrate the park's bicentenary. This film was taken in 1974 and shows the Jolly Roger relatively new and with pirates at the windows. The footage also shows the Wendy House on the island. The Jolly Roger and Wendy house have long gone, removed sometime during the 1980s after falling into disrepair. The video also shows a car journey along Otterspool promenade, again in 1974. It is interesting to see the cars that were around then such as a Morris Minor, Austin 1500 and Vauxhall Viva.
