Baseball paradise in Surprise, Arizona! That’s where the Rangers and Royals share a Spring Training facility, and if you show up early in the day, you can wander all around the practice fields and see the players up close. Cole Hamels throwing a bullpen session? Salvador Perez taking batting practice? Players fielding fungos, working with coaches, standing around and chatting with fans and signing autographs? Yes, yes, and yes. THIS is what it’s all about — you never get access like this during the regular season.
