The key to international relations post 9/11 | Kelly Keogh | TEDxHeartlandCommunityCollege

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Kelly takes a look at one American view of foreign policy, and using creative disruption to dealing with emergent situations more successfully. He documents historical context to suggest a means toward success in the future.

Kelly teaches International Relations, Regional World Studies, A.P. U.S. Government and A.P. Comparative Government at Normal Community High School in Normal, Illinois. He earned his Master’s Degree in Diplomatic History from Illinois State University and has taught at the secondary level for twenty-nine years becoming a National Certified Board Teacher in 2006. He is a Teaching Fellow for the Choices Education Program at the Watson Institute at Brown University where he has written curriculum units and done workshops around the country for the program.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
