Visual Programming using Gambas in Linux - Tutorial 5.6 (PART 1)
This tutorial-video... "GAMBAS visual-programming in Linux (Tutorial 5.6)"... covers implementing a 'Tab-Container', and using several different 'Common-Controls'. This tutorial section also covers the 'GAMBAS-BASIC' program-code, that is necessary to utilize those controls.
Originally, this tutorial would have been around two and a half, hours long... I felt that the tutorial was taking too long to create, and becoming too long, to be effective.
So, I decided to post this tutorial in multiple parts.
TUTORIAL 5.6 'Part-1'... (is about a half an hour, long)... and contains several
sections:
The sections in "Part-1" are:
Creating the project: ( time reference 0:00 to 7:09 )
'RadioButtons' and 'Checkboxes': ( time reference 7:10 to 17:57 )
'Slider' Controls: ( time reference 17:58 to 23:17 )
'TextArea' Controls: ( time reference 23:18 to 27:17 )
End of Part-1: ( time reference 27:18 to 28:04 )
In TUTORIAL 5.6 'Part-2', I will describe:
Using 'Button-Controls' for numeric-entry...
In TUTORIAL 5.6 'Part-3', I will describe:
'ComboBox' "drop-down lists"...
and,
'PictureBox' Controls.
Then, in the following tutorials, I will cover some common 'Menu' conventions, and provide some (hopefully) helpful tips, with regards to 'menus' (and describe some 'quirks' that I have discovered), in GAMBAS.
After covering the program's 'Menu System', I will also be demonstrating some final 'User Interface' tweaks, designed to improve the program's appearance, and functionality.
These shorter tutorials, should be coming-out more quickly.
And again, I hope you find this video-series useful and informative.
