We are in Nürnberg ( in Germany) and in today's episode I show you the house in which Albrecht Dürer lived from 1509 to his death.
For those who do not know who this man was: he was a German painter, printmaker and theorist of the German Renaissance.
Dürer's vast body of work includes engravings, his preferred technique in his later prints, altarpieces, portraits and self-portraits, watercolours and books.
We are going to see where he lived, but also where he worked and in my opinion being able to visit his atelier is absolutely exciting.
I am taking part to a guided tour and the person who is bringing us inside the house is Agnes Dürer, the wife of Albrecht... but wait a minute... it is just an actress playing her role.

La sua immensa opera comprende incisioni, la sua tecnica preferita soprattutto nell' ultimo periodo, pale di altare, ritratti, autoritratti, acquerelli e libri.
Stiamo per vedere dove questo uomo ha vissuto e lavorato e secondo me poter visitare il suo atelier è a dir poco emozionante.
