DJI Osmo Action Camera Review and Ultimate Guide to EVERYTHING!

DJI Osmo Action Camera Review and Ultimate Guide to EVERYTHING!

This is it. This is the video you have been looking for! This video will answer ALL of your questions about the DJI Osmo Action camera. If you already own the DJI Osmo Action Camera or are thinking of buying it, this video is for you. It answers questions like:

What is the battery life?
How do you remove and replace the USB Door?
How does SLO mode differ from high frame rates?
What is HDR, how does it work and why do I care?

And many, many more!

This video should answer any questions you might have about the camera. New or experienced owners should be able to learn from this video as it represents the most comprehensive, in-depth examination and tutorial for this camera on the internet, period.

While researching this camera and looking at reviews and video guides on youtube, no single review or guide was able to answer all of my questions. As such, I present to you the video I wished that I could find.

I understand that this video is a bit long coming in at about an hour in length. Below you will find a table of contents that lets you jump to the section that you might have questions about.

My hope is that you can use this video as a definitive reference for this camera. If you have any questions about it or think that I have left out any important details, please make sure to comment on the video.

The audio on this camera is “OK”. I did not cover anything about it since the camera affords no control over the audio whatsoever. You can add a mic to the camera such as a wired lavaliere but I have no intention of testing that. And, While you get 2 channels of audio in your clips, it's actually mono. Left and right channels are duplicated.

If you are looking at getting a new action camera I think you would be well served by taking a hard look at this camera. The current offerings from GoPro are astoundingly disappointing and the direction I see them going with their app leaves me wanting.

If you liked the video or got any value from it please hit the like. This helps other Youtube viewers find the video easier. If you want to be notified of my next video, click subscribe and then the little bell icon to turn on notifications.

NOTE: Not noted in the video is the fact that the anti-flicker feature is only available in AUTO mode. Additionally if you are shooting 240FPS (or 8X slo-motion) under fluorescent light you will get nasty flicker regardless.
