I found this little wooden folding chair at the thrift store for $12.99 with 25% off! I was on the hunt for a cute chair for my walk-in closet where I am creating build-ins and a small desk area where I can record my podcast (coming soon!). I wanted a chair that wouldn't take up a large footprint in the closet, so this space-saving wooden chair was perfect! It's from WWII and was made by a company for the U.S. Army! I wanted to restore it because the finish was chipping off. I stripped the chair, sanded it, added stain, and furniture wax. See how it looks when I was done!

//CAUTION//

* Strip outside to avoid making a mess indoors. Some strippers MUST be used outside ONLY, so look for one that is safe to use indoors or outdoors that does not contain methylene chloride or NMP.

* Dispose of stripping material properly. Contact your local Recycling Agency or Department for more info.

* Rags with stains, mineral spirits, or wax (or any other flammable materials) must be thoroughly dried before being tossing them in the trash; otherwise, the rags can ignite. To dry them, hang rags and towels flat over a fence, the ground, or over the ground. Once dry, then you can toss them.
