The Originals Season 3 The Fury Of Klaus! Spoiler Alert!

Here you can watch and read the news about The Originals Season 3 The Fury Of Klaus! Spoiler Alert!

Though the holidays left the Mikaelsons close — and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) on the verge of happiness — that was never going to last. When last fans saw the final moments of the midseason finale of “The Originals,” Elijah (Daniel Gillies) was putting a dagger through Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) chest, while Klaus was waking up to find Cami’s (Leah Pipes) throat sliced open.

With all of that haunting them, the Mikaelsons are off to a tumultuous start to the new year and, according to Gillies, things are only going south from here. The actor spoke to Zap2it about the family’s struggles to retain their “kingdom,” Elijah trying to maintain some traces of his humanity and whether Klaus’ fury can be controlled after finding the love of his life dead.

Zap2it: The midseason finale was so nice and calm in a way — happy and feeling like a holiday. But certainly that peace can’t last for more than an episode.
Daniel Gillies: By definition that family is … They are at war and don’t know any other way. It wouldn’t make for particularly interesting drama anyway.

Where did we leave it? With Rebekah and I had to dagger her — which isn’t actually a word, but we’ve made it one.

Stabbed just doesn’t sound as cool.
No, it just doesn’t sound strong enough.

Interestingly, the thrust of Rebekah’s argument is that Klaus has finally found some type of happiness and he needs to keep it, at least for now. But it’s strange, does he actually deserve it?
He’s really kind of doomed. I mean, I think they all are. For all of the shipping that goes on with the show, really the sort of great relationship is Klaus and Elijah. I don’t mean that homoerotically obviously, but the great relationship is can they make it work?

Because if they can, the they can make their kingdom work.

That’s true, because even through all of the horrible things they’ve dealt with, at the end of the day these two are brothers. Brothers often have that love-hate relationship.
It’s interesting. To me, they look like two aspects of one personality, do you know what I mean? I sometimes look at them as one creature that sort of has a disharmony with itself.

Because of that, the repercussions are this sort of cataclysm in New Orleans and all around them.

I think one’s desperately trying to reconcile himself with the fact that he is this thing. Elijah is clutching to the last shreds of his humanity. The other one wants to celebrate everything that isn’t human. There’s a strange war between the two of them, yet they want to do it together and know they can’t do it without one another.

That’s what’s funny about Elijah, he’s definitely the calm side of those two, with the cool and reserved demeanor. But when the monster inside him comes unleashed, watch out.
That’s an interesting point. One of them has to reconcile himself with the fact that he does have some humanity in him, being Klaus. The other one — Elijah — has to reconcile himself with the fact that he’s a monster. It’s an interesting tale and it makes you metaphorically interested in the vampire mythology.

It makes you wonder what Bram Stoker was talking about. Because ultimately the whole vampire myth is a big discussion on what is a human life. I honestly believe it is a discussion of what it means to be human. It all comes back to this idea of mortality and how precious and fleeting that is.

Being able to go deep like this is a big part of what makes “The Originals” such a fun show to talk about. The family drama is so central to the story — and it’s a family that seemingly can’t catch a break. So when you look at it as the story of this family, it’s way more relatable than you might expect from a series about vampires, witches and werewolves.
They’re just trying to survive their surroundings. The show, in a sense, is their last stand against the lives their living. It feels to me this is their last shot, this kingdom within New Orleans. If they don’t make it here, they won’t make it anywhere.

Regarding their surroundings, Vincent has gained a lot of power and in the midseason finale, he essentially said he wanted to rid New Orleans of the garbage the Mikaelsons bring in.
Without spoiling too much, in the following episode you’re going to see Elijah’s going to bring him beneath his cloak in a sense. He knows Vincent represents a great threat and a great power within the city and he wants to control that. We’re going to see Elijah pay a visit to Vincent and engineer some sort of deal whereby he’s kind of working for the Mikaelsons, in a sense.

That’s deeply important right now, to have that power at their command
