In developing this list, we have excluded revenues from special screenings, online streaming, DVD sales, and theatrical screenings outside Nigeria, from the gross total. Also, films before the 2000s are not included in this ranking because their gross totals haven’t been inflation-adjusted.

It is the sequel to 1992 classic Living in Bondage, and stars Kenneth Okonkwo, with Swanky JKA in his breakout role, and director Nouah as the main villain. The film set box office records and ranked eighth overall on the list of highest-grossing Nigerian films of all time. The official trailer of the film was unveiled on 17 October 2019, with a special premiere held on 2 November 2019 at the Filmhouse Cinemas, Lagos. The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It received critical acclaim for its direction, cinematography, and soundtrack, with critics commending Swanky JKA's performance. Entertainment website Pulse rated the film as the best Nollywood film for 2019.
9. 30 Days in Atlanta

Domestic Gross: 163 million Naira.

30 Days in Atlanta is a 2014 Nigerian romantic comedy film produced by Ayo Makun and directed by Robert Peters. The film was shot on location in Lagos and Atlanta. It premiered on 31 October 2014. It was declared the highest-grossing film of all time in Nigerian cinemas in 2015, although the film was met with mixed to negative critical reception. The film was well-received by the general audience but was met with mixed to negative critical reviews. Most critics note that the comedy in the film is filled with cliches and stereotypes and that the film seems like a remake of Osuofia in London (2003), the Jenifa franchise, or a hybrid of both.

10 days in Sun City is a 2017 Nigerian romantic comedy that tells the story of an aspiring beauty queen who was brought to stardom and in the process had to pay the price of losing her peace and joy by denouncing her fiancé who happened to be her manager as well. The film premiered on 17 June 2017. It is owned by a renowned Nigerian comedian Ayodeji Richard Mayokun popularly known as AY, who is the producer and lead character. It was directed by Adze Ugha, written by Kehinde Ogunlola and produced by Ayo Mayokun, Darlington Abuda, Kristy Galliard in conjunction with Corporate World. Entertainment. The movie is graced by high profile celebrities such as Richard Mofe Damijo, Adesua Etomi Wellington, Mercy Johnson, Innocent Idibia AKA 2face Idibia, Folarin Falana AKA Falz the bad guy and many others.
