Super Immunity Boosting Mushroom Herbal Tea
Warning: Children are at high risk of eucalyptus toxicity and should get approval from a healthcare professional before drinking this tea.
Tonight I am cooking up an old family recipe for a Immunity Boosting Tea with mushrooms and herbs. Been cooking it up for 40 years now, passed down by my Great Grandmother. It sure does help fight off the colds and Flu. So come on into the kitchen and let's get it ah cooking. The ingredients and instructions are below. As well as links to several of the more uncommon ingredients used in it for your review. As always please consult your physician before consuming or using Herbal remedies. Ingredients
8 cups filtered water
1/4 cup chopped dried Reishi mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped dried Shiitake mushrooms
1 whole bulb of fresh Garlic
1/2 cup chopped fresh Ginger
1 small onion thin sliced or chopped
1 tbsp Eucalyptus leaves. (Do not use Eucalyptus extracts or oils, they are not edible and are poisonous.)
1 tbsp Turmeric
1 tbsp Thyme leaves
1 tbsp Oregano leaves
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
Fill suitable sized pot with the water, bring to a light boil. Add all ingredients, stir well . Turn down heat toa light simmer and let simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and strain Tea mixture into a suitable sized pitcher. Add filtered water to make 2 quarts of finished Tea. Tea can be consumed hot or cold, with or without a sweetner, your choice.
