How to Become a More Confident & Better Speaker

This video is going to make you look good the next time you have to speak in public.

3/4 of people report MASSIVE fear of public speaking! Ranks higher on top 10 fears list than spiders, heights, small spaces, even DEATH!

Problem? Most of us won’t find ourselves giving a ted talk anytime soon. STILL need these tips. Public speaking is EVERY DAY: class, joke w/ friends, on a date, job interview, toast at event, group of friends.

I’ve spoken in front of hundreds of people — planning on doing more in 2020. Comm in university. Created over 500 YT videos public speaking/ podcast to Millions of downloads worldwide. Love public speaking — still get nervous! Five things I wish I knew 5 years ago.

#PublicSpeaking #RefusingtoSettle #30FOR30CHALLENGE

So I'm gonna make the assumption if you clicked on this video that you're a little nervous about tomorrow, cause you probably have a speech, right? Unless your subscribers love you guys. But when I did this video in 2017 got 1.5 million views and the number one comment when something like, Oh crap,
I got a speech tomorrow, I'm super nervous. What do I do? So don't worry. Gotcha. Covered. And we're
going to go over five public speaking tips that aren't what you hear in most videos that tell you bad
advice. Like picture the audience naked. That's disgusting. Don't do that. It's like, Oh, okay, keep
watching with your clothes on please. And um, these work for if you have YouTube videos to film, if
you're going on a date, you're super nervous. If you're just speaking at a local event or doing a toast or if
you're in class speaking.

So smash that like button. Without further ado, let's get into today's video on the five public speaking
tips. I'll explain these that you need to master. Okay? We're going to contrast the amateur, what
amateurs do and what professionals do. Okay? There's a huge difference. Now I don't claim to be the
expert end all, be all authority on public speaking, go click the course right or anything like that. But over
the past year, I've really spoken myself at events in front of rooms. Um, I've interviewed some of the top
speakers in the world's talking, Dean Graziosi. You had infomercials running 24 seven for like 10 to 15
years or something like that. Just phenomenal speakers. Jason capital, the list goes on. And so I picked
up a lot of their tips and I've asked some one-on-one what do they do? So these five tips are coming
from them. Tip number five, before I give you this tip right here, I want to just acknowledge that it's
normal.

If you've got some nerves, it's totally normal. I was reading an article that public speaking, getting up
and speaking in front of people ranks higher on the top 10 fears list than spiders, small spaces, even
death itself. So people would literally rather die, get bit by a spider in a small space, up high on Heights,
then get up in front of an audience and speak. Now, why is that? I was talking to my friends who does
public speaking to thousands of people. He gets paid up to $25,000 for one hour speaking, and he's like,
I used to suck at public speaking and I would get up there until I fixed this frame. This is so important for
you. He said that when he used to go public speaking, it was this bad. This is what the newbie does. He
says, it's me versus them. It's me versus an audience of 500 people or 50 people in a classroom or
whatever, and they're all looking, they're on their hope and you fail and they, you know, they're judging
you and they're, Oh, it's us against them, right?

And then he switched it and he went from me with them creating something together. So with you, let's
flip that. It's not you versus a classroom full of 30 40 people or an office full of 30 40 people. If you're
presenting or a date, you verse them, it's you talking to each one of them individually. It's not you. Verse
hundred it's you speaking to one person 500 times. Does that make sense? In the comments below, I
want you to drop. It's not me verse them. Okay? It's not me versus them. It's us together.....
