Suspect Leads OHP Troopers On Lengthy Pursuit Through Tulsa - November 4, 2020

A woman led state troopers, Tulsa Police and several other agencies on an hour-long chase across Tulsa in a stolen landscaping truck while hauling a trailer.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver in a lengthy pursuit through Tulsa is now in custody.

OHP said two women stole the truck and trailer full of equipment, but the passenger jumped out of the truck early in the chase.

The owner of the landscaping company said his employees were on a job when the two women jumped in the truck and left. The owner said he tracked the truck with GPS and kept track of it during the entire chase.

Troopers said this started in the area of Pine St and 257th E Ave after troopers attempted to pull over a truck hauling lawn care equipment. Troopers say the female driver acted as though they would comply before jumping back into the truck. The responding trooper grabbed them and they took off onto I-44 for a time. A female passenger jumped out of the truck around Catoosa and tried to run off but was arrested. The driver then continued south on Highway 75 before turning around and re-entering midtown Tulsa near 61st St.

Troopers deployed four stop sticks during the chase eventually flattening almost all tires on the truck and trailer. The driver continued for some time but eventually came to a stop and surrendered around 21st St. and 129th E Avenue in Tulsa.

The vehicle used in the chase belongs to landscaping company Green Pro LLC, who say the truck was stolen earlier Wednesday morning.
