Event managment System Using MERN Stack

Event management in educational institutions often involves complex coordination, manual approvals, and inefficient registration processes. To address these challenges, we developed a Campus Event Management System as a final year group project that streamlines event planning, approval, registration, and ticket booking within a single platform. The systemenables organizers to schedule events, manage approvals, publish upcoming events, and display them through an interactive calendar interface. The application also supports secure ticket booking with QR code generation, ensuring efficient and reliable entry verification during events. Developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js), the system follows the Agile Scrum methodology to support iterative development and continuous improvement. Special emphasis was placed on user interface and user experience design, employing modern design principles to create an intuitive and responsive interface. Secure authentication is implemented using JSON Web Tokens (JWT), ensuring data protection and controlled access. The proposed system enhances operational efficiency, reduces manual effort, and provides a scalable solution for managing campus events effectively. The system is designed to be scalable and modular, enabling future enhancements such as role-based access and analytics. By using RESTful APIs, MongoDB, and QR code technology, the application ensures efficient data management, secure access, and accurate event check-ins, demonstrating the practical use of modern full-stack web technologies.
