I fell 8192 meters into the Void and lived. Here's how... (Repair Tool Glitch Tutorial/Guide)

So there’s this interesting glitch in Subnautica that allows the player to enter a vehicle with a tool still in their hand. This can be done by opening your PDA, closing the PDA, and then getting inside your vehicle at the right moment. The glitch allows you to basically take anything that you can hold in your hotbar into a vehicle. However, for some reason only the laser cutter and repair tool work inside of vehicles. The other tools cannot be used.

While using the laser cutter inside a vehicle doesn't have very many practical uses, using the repair tool inside a vehicle is what’s really practical about this glitch. Having the repair tool inside a vehicle means the vehicle becomes indestructible. You constantly repair it, even though it’s taking damage.

In order to test out this glitch as much as possible, I underwent three tests. First, I fought a Reaper Leviathan in my PRAWN suit in the Crash Zone. Second, I brought my SeaMoth all the way down to the Lava Zone to fight a Sea Dragon. And be sure to stick around to the end, because at the end of this video, I’m going to be jumping into the Void in my PRAWN suit. If I make it down to exactly 8,192 meters, I’ll be teleported back to the surface. I’m going to be testing these three things in my hardcore world which I’ve played on for over 30 hours. So if things go wrong, I could lose everything...
