How to draw a butterfly with gel polish

Let’s start with covering the nail with gel polish. Apply the first layer and dry out in a LED lamp for 30 seconds. Apply the second layer and cure in the LED lamp for another 30 seconds. Take a drop of white gel polish. White gel paint will be just as fine. You can use whatever you like. I use a number one brush. It is a brush with synthetical bristles. To make the brush soft and convenient for painting, I saturate it with gel polish and make twisting movements to form a thin tip.
I take a small drop of gel polish and start painting butterfly wings. I need a white layer to make a pattern colour look more intense. I paint two large upper and two small lower wings at once.
Don’t try to make the pattern look symmetrical; the wings shouldn’t be identical. Thus, your butterfly will look more beautiful and lively.
I take a drop of pink and deep purple gel polish. I start with painting the butterfly with pink polish. Then, we clean the brush and add dark purple colour along the wings edges. You can use Top Coat to distribute the dark color smoothly.
I take a synthetical brush No 5/0 and apply a drop of black gel paint. I prefer to use gel paint in particular, because it doesn’t spread all over the surface and forms more saturated colour. We will paint thin lines. Outline the butterfly carefully on the sides. Add a few details on the wings’ surface. Do your best to keep a little pressure on the brush, so that you get thin and clear lines.
To finish up, I will paint a body and horns for the butterfly. Cover the nail with Top Coat. Apply crystals onto a drop of Top Coat and use the lamp to fix them. Fix the crystals carefully on the sides with a thin brush and Top Coat and cure in the lamp once again. Our design is ready.
