Top 50 ZX Spectrum games of 1988 - in under 10 minutes
Hello and welcome to the new episode of TOP 50 games in under 10 minutes.
We go to 1988 today to check what kind of games we played on our ZX Spectrum back then and to see the games that we think are the top 50 games for ZX Spectrum in that year.
Looking back, the 1988 was a year of some good movie licensed games (like Robocop and Platoon). Dizzy also showed us that the success of the first part (release a year before) was not a fluke - as the second part is even better.
Football Manager also got a "part 2" (and it was great). Also, who can forget fantastic Last Ninja 2, Operation Wolf, Ramparts and Action Force 2?
And the last shout out goes to Target Renegade. Fantastic second part of the Renegade franchise.
Games are, as always, presented in no particular order.
Have fun, let us know in the comments if you agree with our choices (and if we missed a title that should be on the list), and see you in the next one!
PLEASE NOTE: A viewer in comments (Enric LL) noted that I show the wrong Batman game. The game featured in video is Batman from Jon Ritman, not the Caped Crusader released by Ocean in 1988. You can visit https://worldofspectrum.org/archive/software/games/batman-the-caped-crusader-ocean-software-ltd to see "the correct Batman game"
