Young Guitarist of the Year 2019 Winner - Yamato Mori

We've spent 2019 searching for the best young guitar players on earth. Hundreds of entry videos were submitted, before standout performances were sent to our star judges for whittling down to a stellar final three.

The finals took place at the UK Guitar Show in September, and Yamato Mori was crowned the ultimate winner.

Yamato Mori, from Japan, has been playing for four years(!) and blew us away with his entry tune Eureka. He says Plini is his favourite guitarist due to his architectural ear for composition, “He is making a world with creative ideas,” he says. “And he sounds really epic.”
