Auction Market Theory

This video goes into auction market theory — a different way in which a trader can analyze the short-term movements of the cryptocurrency market. This video uses the volume profile in conjunction with auction market theory dynamics to craft a 5M timeframe strategy.

Key elements of the video:
1. We categorize the market as in a state of fair value or trading out of fair value.
2. If other indicators support the trade, it can be optimal to buy below a fair value range and sell above a fair value range.
3. Remember that the market will range more often than trend, making a mean-reversion move back into a balanced market more likely.
4. You can use a session volume profile (easier) or a fixed range volume profile (advanced) to find price opportunities outside of fair value.
