Kidney Transplant Drugs

These are the drugs you take after a kidney transplant.

In my case they are:

Anti-Rejection/Immunosuppressants
Prograph (Tacrolimus)
Cellcept (Mycophenolate)
PredniSONE

Antibiotics (to decrease infection risk)
Mycelex (Clotrimazole)
Valcyte (Valganciclovir)
Co-Trimoxazole (Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim)

Reduce stomach acidity
Zantac (Randitidine)

Prevent blood clots
Aspirin

Lower Cholesterol
Lipitor (Atorvastatin)

Stool softener (because these drugs make you constipated!)
Colace (Docusate)

And there you have $3,000 worth of drugs per month!

UPDATE (1 year later)

My drugs are way down to:

1000mg Cellcept
3.5mg Prograph
81mg Aspirin

Also, I've posted another video of my recovery from transplant one year later. Please check it out.
