Becoming a profitable trader with a day job. I've talked about this before; most of the times it makes sense not to immediately quite your day job but bring your trading skill up to standard. If eventually trading full-time is what you really want to do then you can address it but make sure you are successful first. Running a business and trading at the same time is okay.
- How much time do you really have to trade? You've got to be realistic here...I'm referring to quality uninterrupted time - now chop that in half because you don't want it to become a burden immediately.
- What specific times can you devote to study?
- Join a Community - this is something that I think a lot of traders can benefit from as its a great way to exchange concerns and ideas.
- Create a Study Plan. Or rather what are you not going to study? Maybe you're not interested in studying fundamentals or volatile markets..etc It is a good way to narrow your focus.
- Develop a trading style fitter.
