Kenneth Zaslav, MD – Orthopedic Surgeon, Northwell Health

Dr. Ken Zaslav is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in Sports Medicine, Joint Preservation and Orthobiologics. He is the Director of Northwell’s Center for Regenerative Orthopedic Medicine at Lenox Hill and a member of the full-time faculty at The Northwell Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Zaslav received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Stony Brook University followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine at New York University and Bellevue Medical Centers. He also served as Shoulder fellow at Lenox Hill. For 30 years Dr. Zaslav was a board member of Ortho Virginia and practiced Orthopedic surgery and Sports medicine in Richmond, Virginia while also serving as Clinical Professor Orthopedic surgery at Virginia Commonwealth Univ. He is currently Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University. His clinical focus includes shoulder, and knee injuries, sports medicine, cartilage restoration and joint preservation. He has served as The President of The International Cartilage Regeneration and Joint Preservation Society (ICRS) based in Zurich SW and is currently on The Council of Delegates of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and is The Secretary General of The Biologics Association, which serves as a single voice for the major Orthopedic and Sports Med sub -specialty societies regarding Regenerative Medicine topics. His current clinical and basic science research interests include articular cartilage repair and stem cell research in the Musculoskeletal space and the non-operative treatment of Osteoarthritis.
