Dashcam Shows DUI Suspect Fleeing From Blaine County Deputies

After Mike Herwing took off on a traffic stop a pursuit ensued. The vehicle was stopped because it was swerving in and out of lanes of traffic. Officer Flyer was walking up to the vehicle on Paleto Blvd when it took off. The pursuit lasted 3 minutes. Once Herwing got off of US Route 01 and turned onto Procorpio Promenade units started to catch up. Herwing cashed his truck into a pole and then another. The second time Herwing hit the pole the truck started to smoke and he bailed. As he was fleeing Flyer tasered the man and he fell to the ground. Officer Winfree then went in for the arrest and the pursuit concluded. No further information has been released.
