One Mistake Ruined My First Run?! (Slay The Spire 2)

I tried Slay the Spire 2 for the first time and IMMEDIATELY questioned all my decisions. How many misplays can you count?

My first run in this roguelike deckbuilder goes completely off the rails at the finish line. Was I doomed from the start or do I kind of know what I'm doing?
