"Love Story" is the lead single by
Taylor Swift off of the country-pop phenomenon's sophomore record, Fearless, released in 2008. The single helped to catapult the record to the number one chart spot in its opening week, breaking sales records for the year and landing Swift into album of the year at the Grammys.
The song "Love Story" polled in as Swift's most successful single at that point, selling nearly seven million copies to go with her climbing success. The lyrics play off the Shakespeare literature reference relating back to her personal life, having a love interest that is not supported by her peers. 

The song opens with a banjo picking pattern before entering the verse. The song uses four chords throughout most of the song until the final chorus. It then offers a change from key of D to key of E at the last chorus, incorporating a few new chords to the song.
